Evaluations and impact assessments
We are experts in public policy and government funded social and economic interventions and have a track record in evaluating and assessing socio-economic impacts of complex public policy and funding issues.

We combine provision of excellent technical evaluation expertise with in-depth understanding of public policy and funds (prioritisation, benefits realisation and maximisation of value), and act as trusted advisors for our clients, offering considered, impartial and innovative thinking and evidence and context-based solutions.
We have a track record in development and implementation of monitoring and evaluation frameworks and first-class expertise in translating policy into logic chains and pathways to impacts – what is happening, how, why, with what consequences and what can be learnt.
We have theoretical knowledge and practical experience of applying best practice in evaluations, assessment and monetisation of impact, counterfactual, value for money, costs & benefits (e.g., HM Treasury’s The Magenta Book and the Green Book, NESTA Standards of Evidence, National Audit Office) and organisational development and assessment tools (such as Appreciative Inquiry and Network Analysis, Kirkpatrick and Phillips).
Most of our work requires tailored mixed-method approaches and skills and knowledge (quantitative and qualitative). Superior expertise in quantitative analyses is combined with excellent qualitative research expertise to deliver impactful reports. Reflecting the importance of qualitative evidence within a programme evaluation context, we systematically employ a range of approaches in research design and gathering of information, all undertaken according to Market Research Society guidelines and Code of Practice for Research.
We are highly proficient in the use of AI tools that aid our work and analyses. We are rigorous in quality assuring and validating AI results.
We have conducted over 100 programme evaluations, feasibility studies and options appraisals across a wide range of policy fields:
